The Event

Pferdefestival Redefin opens in May

Every year in May, the state stud opens its doors to horse-loving spectators and competitive athletes in the arena and on the course.

Once again this year, riders can show off their skills in international dressage and show jumping competitions up to 3* level. But young horses also have the chance to shine: In addition to the youngster classes for show jumpers, the five and six-year-old dressage horses in Redefin have the opportunity to qualify for the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf.

Come along and enjoy the idyllic atmosphere of the state stud, stroll through the exquisite exhibition and enjoy the sport at close quarters.

International Jumping at 3-Star-Level

On the grass arena in front of the Reithaus portal, it’s all about great sport, prestige, prize money and magnificent horses. Highlights include the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Championships – “Land zum Leben” on Saturday and the Deutsche Kreditbank AG Grand Prix on Sunday. In addition, Defender will make another world ranking-relevant event possible with the final of the medium tour. If you would like to watch the CSI3* show jumping competitions in Redefin from a comfortable seat, you can purchase seats for the specially erected grandstand on site for 10 euros (Friday), 15 euros (Saturday/Sunday) or 32 euros for all three days. Otherwise, there is also free admission to the show jumping arena.

Dressage: From the popular CDN to CDI

Dressage has also been international in Redefin since 2021: a CDI3* Tour with Grand Prix, Special and Freestyle is now a fixed part of the dressage program, as is an international small tour at 1* level. The national competitions are aimed at youngsters, on the one hand with the Bundeschampionat qualifiers for five and six-year-old dressage horses, and on the other hand at the very youngsters in the saddle with the popular lead rein competition.

Dressage fans can follow the action from the comfort of the large grandstand in the parade ring, from where they have a complete view of both the warm-up arena and the competition arena. Access to the dressage arena is free of charge without tickets.

Show: Stallions & Foals

The stallions of the State Stud as well as selected foals can be admired and applauded on Friday and Saturday evening during the stallion parade and the associated show of the State Stud.
